Google announced on 20 October 2026 that it plans to expand Financial Services Verification to the United States and Canada in early 2027. Country-specific registry, credential and onboarding guidance will follow. This is an announced platform program expansion, not a new law.

Use the preparation period to make your business records easier to review. Keep US and Canadian activity separate, identify who can confirm each business fact and record unresolved questions. An organized evidence folder supports that work without predicting the eventual application requirements.

Create one record per business and product

List the legal entity, advertising account owner, target market and selected landing pages. Ask the responsible compliance owner to identify existing permission records and any uncertainty about their scope. Keep that uncertainty visible until the owner resolves it. Similar names or a shared website do not establish that two businesses have the same permissions.

Use AI assistance to gather evidence, then check it

A bounded workflow can collect selected public landing-page statements and flag differences in business names, product descriptions and disclosures. Have a reviewer compare each flagged passage with its source. A text match does not establish a licence, exemption or eligibility decision. Keep sensitive documents out of general-purpose tools unless their use has been approved.

Separate preparation tasks from official decisions

Maintain distinct records for account notices, preparation work and confirmed verification outcomes. Assign a person to check new instructions and explain the remaining work to the team. Do not mark an account approved because its evidence folder is complete. Keep the source and date beside each status so another reviewer can understand it.

Do not purchase an application service on the assumption that a US or Canadian route is already open. Confirm the official instructions and the scope of any paid preparation work first. Existing permissions and product restrictions still require separate attention.

How to organize your team’s next step

Use a short comparison sheet: market, entity, advertised product, destination URL, source record, discrepancy and responsible reviewer. Give each unresolved item an owner. Review the actual customer destination as well as the homepage. This creates a practical handoff for your team without collecting unnecessary sensitive material.

Put the findings to work

AI Gaur can scope an AI-assisted evidence review with human checking for selected pages and supplied business information. Share your website, target market and notice type so we can confirm the work and quote. Questions before you begin

When is verification planned for the US and Canada?

Google describes the rollout as early 2027. The announcement does not give an exact enforcement date.

Can we apply through a new US or Canada route now?

The announcement does not establish an open application route. Follow official country guidance and your account instructions as they become available.

Is there a filing deadline for every advertiser?

No universal filing deadline is established in the announcement. Google says advertisers will be notified if and when they need to complete verification once it opens.

Has G2RS been confirmed as the application provider?

The announcement does not establish G2RS as the provider for the US or Canada. Do not assume another country’s route applies.

Does an AI Gaur readiness audit certify our business?

No. It identifies evidence gaps within an agreed scope. Your team remains responsible for business facts and legal questions; official verification and ad decisions belong to the relevant third parties.
